Lens reads the same model Synapse stores, so the things you chart are assets and properties, not raw tags. You assemble a view by picking from your hierarchy: one panel covers every asset that shares a property, and any value links straight back to the asset it came from. The panel library is built for industrial work, and Explore handles the questions a fixed dashboard never anticipated.

Every asset of a kind carries the same defined properties, so a single panel can render that property across all of them at once. Pick temperature and scope it to the pumps under a site, and every pump shows up on the same chart, with no per-asset wiring. You build a dashboard for the job in front of you, and the shared property model does the fan-out.

Built for the plant floor.
Lens ships the panels operations actually use: trends, gauges, single-value stats, tables, P&IDs, and batch and cycle views, with thresholds and value mappings so a reading reads green, yellow, or red at a glance. Structured alarms overlay directly on the charts, carrying severity and lifecycle, so an operator sees what happened and when, not just a line that dipped.
03 // INVESTIGATE
From a chart to the answer.
Every value on a Lens dashboard carries its asset and property identity. Click a point to open the asset, or send it to Explore with the query already loaded, then run ad hoc HQL to chase whatever the dashboard surfaced. The path from "that looks off" to a real investigation is one click, and it stays inside Lens.
04 // WORKBOOKS
Go deeper with notebooks.
Lens Workbooks are analytical notebooks backed by the Helixer SDK: query your data, compute and chart it with the full Python data-science stack, and write the narrative alongside. Schedule a workbook to run on its own and turn its results into derived datasets. It is the step from watching a dashboard to explaining what it means.
